Charlotte grew up in Lechlade, Gloucestershire, and has been linked with Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds all her life, including being schooled in Oxford. As a member of our strong Cotswold team based out of The Buying Solution’s office in Kingham, she mainly acts for clients looking for cottages and houses within the £750,000 to £2,000,000 price range.
As well as this core country market, Charlotte covers the city and town markets of Oxford, Cheltenham and Bath, working on behalf of buyers who are usually motivated by the area’s excellent choice of education. She can guide clients as to the best locations for school runs, factor in commuting requirements as well as establishing what is a more or less desirable address. Her and the team’s knowledge of schools proves particularly invaluable to those looking to purchase in these areas from overseas or undertaking the move out of London.
Prior to joining The Buying Solution, Charlotte spent 10 years working as an ARLA-qualified letting agent in prime parts of London including Chelsea, Pimlico, Richmond, Wimbledon and Clapham where she ran her own office negotiating on contracts across the board from studio flats to family houses in excess of £10,000/week. During this time, she built up excellent relationships with corporate and relocation agents and has plenty of experience in dealing with clients based overseas and expats returning to the UK, as well as those moving within the local area.
Her experience in this environment means that Charlotte has excellent client management skills and is a strong communicator who is highly motivated to successfully fulfil a client’s brief. As and when the need arises, Charlotte also acts as our rental specialist who can lend her expertise to clients with rental searches – this gives us an added value over our competition who do not have this expertise.
Charlotte lives in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, with her husband. Having read music and psychology at the University of Durham, she’s a keen musician and enjoys playing a number of instruments, as well as singing in a choir.
